Terms of Service

Article 1 (Purpose)

These terms govern the use of the services provided by Dino Encyclopedia (the "Site") and the rights, duties, and responsibilities between the Site and users.

Article 2 (Definitions)

  • "Site" means Dino Encyclopedia.
  • "User" means any person who accesses the Site and uses the services provided by the Site in accordance with these terms, whether or not registered.
  • "Service" means all information and features provided by the Site.

Article 3 (Publication and Amendment)

The Site shall display these terms on the initial screen so that users can easily access them.

The Site may amend these terms as necessary within the bounds of applicable law. In the event of amendment, the Site shall announce the amended terms and effective date on the initial screen from 7 days before the effective date for a reasonable period thereafter.

Article 4 (Provision and Change of Service)

The Site provides the following services:

  • Encyclopedia content on living organisms
  • Search service
  • Glossary service
  • Any other services developed or provided by the Site, including through partnerships

The Site may change the content of the services and will announce any changes in advance.

Article 5 (Suspension of Service)

The Site may temporarily suspend the service due to maintenance, replacement, or failure of equipment, disruption of communications, or similar reasons.

The Site shall not be liable for any damage to users or third parties caused by such temporary suspension, unless the Site cannot prove absence of intent or negligence.

Article 6 (User Obligations)

Users shall not:

  • Register false information when applying or making changes
  • Use another person's information
  • Alter information posted by the Site
  • Transmit or post information other than that permitted by the Site (e.g., computer programs)
  • Infringe the Site's or any third party's copyright or other intellectual property rights
  • Damage the reputation of the Site or third parties or interfere with their operations
  • Post or disclose obscene, violent, or otherwise socially unacceptable content on the Site

Article 7 (Copyright and Use Restrictions)

Copyright and other intellectual property rights in content created by the Site belong to the Site.

Users may not use, for commercial purposes or allow third parties to use, any information obtained through the Site to which the Site holds intellectual property rights, by reproduction, transmission, publication, distribution, broadcasting, or other means, without prior consent of the Site.

Article 8 (Disclaimer)

The Site shall not be liable for failure to provide the service due to force majeure such as natural disasters.

The Site shall not be liable for disruption of service use due to the user's fault.

The Site shall not be liable for any loss of expected profit from use of the service or for any damage arising from information obtained through the service.

Article 9 (Governing Law and Jurisdiction)

The laws of the Republic of Korea shall apply to the interpretation of these terms and any dispute between the Site and users. The Seoul Central District Court shall have exclusive jurisdiction over any litigation arising from such disputes.

Supplementary Provisions

These terms shall take effect from January 1, 2024.
